Help Shape the Future of Community Sailing in Belmar

Friends of Belmar Harbor seeks Advisory Board applicants as it transitions to Sail Belmar Community Sailing Center.

The Friends of Belmar Harbour Charitable Education Foundation is inviting parents, alumni, sailing enthusiasts, business leaders, and community members to apply to serve on its Advisory Board during an exciting period of growth and transition.

As the organization becomes Sail Belmar Community Sailing Center, the Advisory Board will help guide its next chapter: connecting more people to the Shark River through sailing, recreation, and education.

We are seeking people who care about the future of our waterfront and want to contribute their time, experience, and ideas. Experience in fundraising, community partnerships, marketing, education, nonprofit leadership, or waterfront development is welcome. Just as valuable are a willingness to collaborate, a connection to the community, and an enthusiasm for helping others discover the water.

Advisory Board members will help identify opportunities to strengthen programs, build relationships with community partners, support fundraising, and plan for future needs. Their contributions will support our efforts to expand waterfront access and create lasting opportunities for young people, adults, and families.

You do not need to be an experienced sailor to make a meaningful contribution. Whether your connection comes through a child’s summer camp experience, a love of Belmar, or a professional background that could support our mission, we welcome your interest.

This is an opportunity to help shape a community resource where people can learn new skills, build confidence, form friendships, and enjoy time on the water.

Interested in serving?

Please email Brian Hull at brianhull@sailbelmar.org with a brief introduction, your relevant experience, and why you would like to get involved.

Know someone who would be a great addition? Please share this opportunity and help us build the team that will guide our next chapter.
